What large-scale means
A large hedge build is counted in linear feet, not backdrops.
Each standard panel covers 4 linear feet, so a 400-foot perimeter starts near 100 panels before corners, entries and gaps. At that size the questions change: which faces need to look finished, what surface the panels stand on, and how long the venue gives you to set and strike. Those answers shape the quote as much as the count does.

Large-scale hedge questions
/What counts as a large-scale hedge rental?
A build where the hedge panels are the layout itself: a perimeter, an enclosure, a carpet, a maze. Our documented builds run from 30+ panels at a Los Angeles consulate party to 175 at Irwindale Speedway.
/How many hedge panels do I need?
Start with one standard panel per 4 linear feet: 200 feet is about 50 panels, 400 feet about 100. Then add for corners, entries and any run seen from both sides, which needs double-sided panels.
/What does a large hedge build cost?
Panels start at $160 per 4x8 panel, $130 per 4x4 panel and $160 per 5x8 single-sided panel. Delivery, setup and strike are quoted per event, because every venue, schedule and access route is different. Market minimums apply.
/Can you count panels from my floor plan?
Yes. Send a CAD file, a PDF, a venue map, a sketch or just the linear feet, and we’ll return a count and the layout assumptions behind it. The Design Studio is a drawing tool if you want to lay out runs yourself; it doesn’t produce a photo of your venue. Our in-house team can produce photorealistic mockups when available.
/Do large builds work outdoors?
The panels are UV-stable, and temporary outdoor use is scoped per venue: we ask about the surface and the wind exposure before quoting. At CES 2024 our crew stayed on site all week to watch the wind.
/Can you supply fire and insurance paperwork?
Documentation available for applicable configurations. Documents available on request. Tell us which ones the venue needs when you send the floor plan.
