Mother's Day Maze at Summit

Summit Golf Club wanted something for Mother’s Day that didn’t feel like the standard photo wall and step-and-repeat. Evergreen Event Rental designed, delivered, and installed a custom modular artificial hedge maze on a tight timeline, using UV-resistant materials that can handle Las Vegas conditions.

Overview

Summit Golf Club in Las Vegas hosted a Mother-Daughter Mother’s Day event and needed an interactive piece that would draw guests into the space instead of leaving them posted up around the edges. The ask was straightforward: give people something fun to do together while keeping the event tidy, organized, and easy to run.

Evergreen Event Rental supplied a custom artificial hedge maze rental built for fast assembly and a clean, finished look. The maze was modular for outdoor use in direct sun, and delivery plus pickup were included so the venue team didn’t have to juggle trucks, staging, or teardown labor.

The Challenge

Summit Golf Club’s events lead wanted something that felt like a real “activity,” not just decor. For Mother’s Day, it had to work for a wide age range and be obvious enough that guests could jump in without a long explanation or staff stationed at every turn.

Timing was the other big constraint. The schedule left a narrow window to load in, build the maze, have it ready for guests, and then remove it without a drawn-out breakdown or disrupting normal club operations. And in Las Vegas, heat and full sun aren’t theoretical, so the materials had to hold up and still look good throughout the day.

Our Solution

We proposed a custom artificial hedge maze built from modular hedge wall sections. Modular mattered because it let us fine-tune the footprint and pathways, adjust the layout to the site, and keep load-in and load-out moving.

The build used UV-resistant materials to stand up to outdoor exposure in Las Vegas. We also designed the exterior with clean edges so Summit Golf Club could dress the outside of the hedges with different materials—making the perimeter work for branded or themed moments while keeping the inside focused on the maze itself.

Implementation

Evergreen Event Rental managed the full rental flow: mapping the maze layout with the client, prepping the modular hedge sections, and timing delivery around venue access. On install day, our crew staged the pieces, assembled the maze section by section, and walked the entire route to confirm alignment and guest flow.

Since the maze was modular, we could make on-site tweaks to fit the available space and handle any last-minute site constraints. After the event, we returned for pickup, broke the maze down efficiently, and cleared the area so Summit Golf Club could reset the space without teardown dragging on.

Results

The completed maze instantly created activity zones inside the event footprint—guests had a reason to move through the space together, and the venue gained a structured feature that helped guide foot traffic. The exterior surfaces also gave Summit Golf Club room to add themed materials around the perimeter, extending the event’s look beyond a single backdrop.

Operationally, delivery and pickup let the venue team stay focused on guests instead of logistics. And the UV-resistant artificial hedge finish kept its appearance through the event day, even with the Las Vegas sun and a tight schedule.
