Sun, ground and exposure
Outdoor use is scoped per site: the surface, the exposure, how many days the panels stand and how they are set. The foliage is artificial and needs no irrigation. Tell us whether each zone sits on grass, asphalt or a platform.
Gates and sightlines
Low 34-inch or 4-foot runs hold a queue without blocking the view of a stage, and full 8-foot walls close an artist area. Mark security gates, emergency routes and service lanes on the map so the runs stop short of them.

How a festival build is priced
Panels start at: 4×4 boxwood from $130, 4×8 from $160, 5×8 single-sided from $160. A festival in California starts at a 10-panel minimum; Las Vegas and Phoenix sites start at 12, and Austin sites at 8. Mazes and custom structures are quoted per project. Delivery, setup and strike are quoted per event.
What producers ask
Can your crew work alongside the other trades at load-in?
Yes. At Beyond Wonderland our crew did the unloading, layout and installation while other trades built around us, so no labor came off Insomniac’s team.
Do the panels need water or upkeep during the run?
No watering; the foliage is artificial. If you want a crew check during a multi-day run, put it in the quote request.
Can we build a hedge maze as a festival attraction?
Yes. A maze is built from modular hedge sections to a floor plan. Qualcomm’s, in San Diego, wrapped more than fifty 5′ × 8′ panels and almost one hundred 4′ × 8′ panels around a central stage, so a maze can hold a stage or a sponsor moment inside it.
Can the hedge line leave room for gates and exits?
It should. Mark them on the site map and we leave the openings. The Irwindale Speedway enclosure had an 18- to 20-foot opening built into both of its long runs.
Do you have fire documentation for festival permits?
Rules vary by city and venue, so raise it at the first call. Documentation available for applicable configurations.
