CES moves fast, and the show floor doesn’t pause. For CES 2024 in Las Vegas, Evergreen Event Rental delivered and installed 50+ modular hedge panels to create quick privacy and clear zone lines—then stayed on-site all week to keep an eye on wind conditions.

Overview

CES 2024 in Las Vegas brought heavy foot traffic, narrow access windows, and a space that had to feel “done” the second the doors opened. The client needed rental greenery that could break up zones, add privacy, and still read clean under show lighting.

Evergreen Event Rental provided modular hedge rentals made with UV-resistant materials and took care of delivery, setup, and pickup. The install used a mix of single-sided and double-sided hedge panels to build perimeter edges and stand-alone privacy walls where sightlines mattered most.

The Challenge

The client needed real privacy and structure inside an active CES space for a one-week run. They weren’t after greenery as decoration—they needed solid separation that looked obvious on-site and stayed put in a busy event setting.

Las Vegas added another variable: wind. Even indoor and semi-covered loading and access zones can funnel airflow and push on temporary builds. Timing was tight too, with limited windows for install and pickup, so there wasn’t much room to adjust once the event started.

Our Solution

We worked with the client’s point of contact to figure out where privacy was non-negotiable and where simple zone definition was enough. The plan relied on modular hedge rentals that could be set in straight lines, staggered runs, or back-to-back depending on the coverage needed.

Based on the show’s practical requirements, we specced 50+ hedge panels in two sizes: 5' x 8' single-sided panels and 4' x 8' tall double-sided panels. We used UV-resistant materials so the greenery would keep its look under strong lighting and desert conditions throughout CES week.

Implementation

Evergreen Event Rental coordinated delivery and staged the panels so placement could move quickly within the client’s tight setup window. We installed in an order that put the client’s must-have operational areas in place first, then finished the secondary boundaries and privacy breaks.

Since wind was a known issue during the week, we kept a team member on-site for the duration to watch conditions and correct any shifting right away. That kept the client from having to pull staff off programming to troubleshoot walls or keep re-checking placements.

Results

The hedges created usable space immediately—clear edges where traffic needed guidance and privacy walls where conversations and brand interactions needed separation. It looked intentional without getting precious, which matters on a show floor where everything is fighting for attention.

The client got consistency from day one through strike. With on-site supervision all week, windy conditions didn’t become a repeated headache, and the layout held its shape without the client having to babysit it. When CES ended, we picked up on schedule so the team could move straight into teardown without extra back-and-forth.
