Overview

Casa Ferrari at Monterey Car Week 2024 in Monterey, CA moved fast, and guest flow, sightlines, and brand presentation had to work from first arrivals through the final pickup window.

Evergreen Event Rental was brought in to supply rental greenery that could create zones and add privacy without any permanent builds. The project ran on a three-week timeline from planning through execution, with delivery and pickup included.

The Challenge

The client needed to carve out usable “rooms” inside an active event footprint—adding privacy and separating areas without making the space feel boxed in or obviously temporary. It had to look intentional up close (for guests) and from a distance (for photos and video).

The schedule didn’t leave much room. Setup and pickup had to fit inside narrow venue windows, so the product needed to show up ready to deploy, go in quickly, and stay stable through the pace of Monterey Car Week.

Our Solution

We worked with the client’s point of contact to map where privacy was needed, where circulation had to stay open, and where backdrops needed to read clean from multiple angles. The goal was straightforward: define space quickly, keep the look consistent, and stay flexible if the floor plan changed.

Evergreen Event Rental supplied over 100 modular hedge panels in two sizes, 4ft x 4ft and 4ft x 8ft, with double-sided coverage so the greenery looked finished from either side. Materials were specified as UV-resistant to hold up during long outdoor days and extended exposure.

Implementation

We timed delivery to the venue’s access hours and staged the rental hedges so the crew could install in order—building perimeter lines first, then adding interior dividers to lock in the final layout.

Because the system is modular, we could adjust runs and corners in real time with the on-site team. Once the layout was confirmed, we secured and aligned the panels for consistent height, tight seams, and clean edges—then walked the space to check sightlines and privacy from the guest perspective.

After the event, we returned within the agreed pickup window for teardown and removal. The client didn’t have to deal with storage, hauling, or disposal—just a clean handoff from event close to load-out.

Results

The hedge rentals created instant areas that felt planned, not improvised. Guests had clear pathways, the client got privacy where it mattered, and the space read as a cohesive environment from multiple vantage points.
