Case Study
Evergreen Event Rental supported Monterey Car Week 2025 in Monterey, California with delivery, placement, and pickup of 100+ double-sided hedge panels. Modular, UV-resistant rentals created instant boundaries and clean brand-ready zones on a tight schedule at Pebble Beach.
For Monterey Car Week 2025, the client wanted the same hedge layout that worked in 2024—just cleaner, quicker, and better tuned to the site. Evergreen Event Rental supplied and coordinated pickup for 100+ modular, UV-resistant, double-sided hedge panels, creating instant, tidy event zones at Pebble Beach.
Overview
Monterey Car Week runs on tight load-in windows, packed schedules, and a lot of pressure for every area to look good on camera. For the 2025 build in Monterey, California, Evergreen Event Rental came in through a third-party partner to repeat a hedge-based layout that had already worked in 2024.
The rental scope focused on double-sided hedge panels in 4-foot and 8-foot heights. Since placement was on one of the holes at Pebble Beach, everything had to be exact—straight placement, careful handling over turf, and a plan that followed course rules while still giving the visual separation the client wanted.
The Challenge
The brief was simple and non-negotiable: “Do what you did in 2024.” That sounds straightforward until you’re dealing with real event conditions—new timing, different crews on-site, and a venue where access and staging aren’t things you can wing.
The other constraint was volume and speed. Moving 100+ hedge units only works if they show up in the right order and can go straight into place without creating backups. And because the install was on a working golf course, the tolerance for mistakes was basically none—no dragging, no sloppy stacking, and no workarounds that could tear up the turf.
Our Solution
We used 2024 as the reference point, then rebuilt the plan with small adjustments based on what went well (and what didn’t) the first time. Working directly with the third party who booked us, we confirmed the layout, the 4-foot and 8-foot mix, and the order the panels needed to move from truck to final position.
The product stayed the same: modular, double-sided hedge rentals made with UV-resistant materials. Modularity kept things adjustable for last-minute on-site changes, and the double-sided finish meant it looked finished from every angle—handy when guests, sponsors, and staff are moving on both sides of a boundary.
Delivery and pickup were included, and we stayed tight on timing so removal could happen quickly enough to match the venue schedule and overall event turnover.
Implementation
We ran the build with logistics leading the way. Delivery was staged so the crew could place hedges as they came off the truck, instead of parking big stacks in sensitive areas. That kept traffic controlled and lowered the risk of turf damage.
On-site, the modular hedge panels went in to create immediate boundaries and visual breaks where the client needed them. The 8-foot sections handled taller screening, while the 4-foot sections handled lower partitions and helped guide movement without making the space feel boxed in.
When the event shifted into load-out, we coordinated pickup with the partner team in a tight window. The goal stayed the same: clear the site fast and carefully, with the same care for course surfaces as during load-in.
Results
The hedge rentals created instant zones with clean lines, clear boundaries, and a consistent look across the footprint. The double-sided finish kept the space looking finished from every direction, which matters when people are constantly moving around the hole.
On the operations side, it stayed on schedule. More than 100 hedge units were delivered and removed in sync with the venue’s tight windows, which helped avoid the usual pinch points that pop up when multiple vendors are trying to move at once.
The 2025 plan delivered what the client liked about 2024, with the small refinements that come from doing it once already. Same layout, smoother execution, and a finish that holds up even at close range.
