Evergreen Event Rental designed, delivered, installed, and picked up a custom 12' x 22' artificial living wall in Anaheim. Modular build, UV-resistant materials, and a clean setup/teardown for a hotel event backdrop.

A hotel event in Anaheim needed a backdrop that felt custom and camera-ready—without the risk and upkeep of live greenery. Evergreen Event Rental built a 12-foot-tall, 22-foot-long artificial living wall, managed delivery and pickup, and left the venue as clean as we found it.

Overview

Evergreen Event Rental was brought in for a hotel event in Anaheim that needed a strong photo and stage backdrop. The ask was straightforward: it had to feel custom, look good on camera, and fit the space exactly.

We built a custom artificial living wall rental that measured 12 feet tall by 22 feet long. It was designed as a modular build so it could be dialed in on-site, and the greenery used UV-resistant materials to help it keep its color and texture under event lighting and daylight.

The Challenge

The client wanted a backdrop that didn’t read like a standard rental piece. In hotel venues, you’re usually dealing with tight load-in windows, service-elevator access, and very little space to stage materials while guests and staff are still moving through the area.

The wall needed enough height to hold the room visually, but it also had to be realistic to deliver, assemble, and remove fast. With a one-week timeline, we couldn’t rely on guesswork—or multiple site trips—to get it right.

Our Solution

We worked directly with the head of the event to turn the concept into a wall we could actually build, while staying true to her vision. We focused the design on density and full coverage so it would read as one continuous “green” surface from normal viewing distances and in photos.

To keep install day smooth, we built it as a modular rental wall instead of one oversized piece. That made it easier to transport in a hotel, quicker to assemble on-site, and faster to tear down after the event. Delivery and pickup were included, so the client didn’t have to coordinate separate freight and labor teams.

Implementation

Evergreen Event Rental delivered the components to the Anaheim hotel and staged everything for a quick, efficient install. We assembled the modular panels into the full 12' x 22' footprint, then aligned and secured them so the front face read as seamless.

Once it was up, we did a final visual check with the client team to confirm the look and placement in the room. After the event, we came back for teardown, broke the wall back into modules, and handled pickup so the strike stayed clean and on schedule.

Results

The finished wall gave the event an instant, usable backdrop—one clear focal point for photos and branded moments—without the headaches that come with live plant care.

On the logistics side, the modular build plus delivery/pickup kept it easy for the client team to manage. They got a custom look with a predictable install and a quick teardown, which is usually the difference between “it looked great” and “it looked great and didn’t create extra work for the venue.”
