How Evergreen Started
Alex Tarnowski founded Evergreen Event Rental in 2016 as a temporary-event rental brand operated by Geranium Street USA, Inc., an artificial plant manufacturer based in Southern California. The initial idea was straightforward: event planners were buying artificial hedge panels for single events, then storing or discarding them afterward. A rental model would give them the same premium look without the waste or upfront cost.
The first jobs were small backdrop walls for San Diego weddings and corporate events. The work grew into multi-panel configurations, hedge arches, and branded builds for product launches. In 2023 the crew built a 25′ × 25′ experience cube for Hendrick’s Gin at Stagecoach in Indio. Today the operation covers California, Texas, Nevada, and Arizona.
Today, Alex oversees every project from initial quote through final strike, managing a crew that handles delivery, setup, and teardown for events of every scale. With more than 200 completed event rental builds, the operation has built working relationships with convention centers, resort properties, and festival production teams across all four states.
